The Eastport Business Association, better known as the EBA, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1993 to “enhance and promote the business climate of Eastport, to improve the general welfare of Eastport and to engage in activities that promote and improve life in the community.” That is a quote from our Bylaws, and it demonstrates that quality of life — our unique, lively and eclective life in Eastport — is important to our members is as important to our members as the business climate.
Our peninsular neighborhood of Annapolis, Maryland,
is roughly bounded by historic Annapolis harbor on the west
and Back Creek, a tributary of the Severn River, on the east.
While the majority of our members are in the maritime industry in professions such as sailmaker, yacht builder and broker, and marine electronics we represent over 52 professions. Our members are also shopkeepers, accountants, innkeepers, publishers, and providers of many other other providers of goods and services. Most of our members both work and live in Eastport and are active members of our community.
During the year the EBA actively supports projects that benefit charities in the community and sponsors improvement projects to benefit residential and business neighbors here in Eastport.
In addition to promotion and advocacy of our membership, the EBA is proud to play a part in preserving the maritime tradition and quality of life that is Eastport.
